Abstract: Gina Ilemangit of Lamotrek Atoll interviewed on Guam by Regina Raigetal about backstrap weaving in the Outer Islands of Yap, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) in January of 2023. The interviewee discussed differences in weaving in the past vs. today, the backstrap loom, local fibers, and the culture of weaving.
