Suka, Joe N. (2008-02-12). FSM Congressional Resolution 15-180. Congress of the FSM.

Abstract: A resolution approved during the Fifth Special Session of the Fifteenth Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia in 2008. The resolution specifically addresses the approval of an amendment to an existing Foreign Fishing Agreement between the National Oceanic Resource Management Authority (NORMA) and the Taiwan Deep Sea Tuna Boatowners and Exporters Association.

Initially, the Foreign Fishing Agreement was valid for five years, having been approved on November 18, 2003, and expired on November 18, 2008. The resolution details an amendment extending the agreement for an additional six months from November 18, 2008, to May 17, 2009. This extension required congressional approval to become effective, as per section 405 of title 24 of the Code of the Federated States of Micronesia.

The resolution was introduced by Joe N. Suka on December 2, 2008, and called for the certified copies to be transmitted to the relevant authorities, including the President of the Federated States of Micronesia and representatives of the involved parties. The resolution signifies congressional support to continue and briefly extend the collaboration between Micronesia and Taiwanese fishing interests under specified terms.
