From Habele Institute

The Micronesian Counselor was an occasional bulletin published by Micronesian Seminar beginning in 1991. Rather than appearing on a strict schedule, it was released as needed, each issue tackling major social and development challenges facing the region.

Written largely by MicSem staff, especially Francis X. Hezel, SJ, along with other contributors, the bulletin addressed subjects such as health, education, governance, culture, economics, migration, and environmental pressures. Over nearly two decades—through at least 2010—it served as one of MicSem’s main public education tools, reaching a circulation of around one thousand readers across Micronesia and abroad. Each issue was intended to spark conversation and reflection, blending historical context with analysis and practical recommendations.
