Abstract: Bustillo explains how his report on Captain Nicolas Rodriguez and the composite account for June 1685 to May 1689 were compiled from missionary points and his daily diaries, then reviewed by consultor Fathers. He warns Xaramillo that another local letter, identified editorially as Zarzosa’s, contains claims that differ from the authenticated reports, while acknowledging its useful material on Quiroga, Medrano, and Rodriguez.
