Abstract: Comparative political economy study analyzing Palau’s economic structure relative to Liechtenstein. The paper argues that Pacific microstates must diversify beyond tourism and extractive industries by developing high-value sectors such as finance, technology, and niche services. It proposes strategic movement up the economic value chain to achieve long-term sustainability and reduced aid dependence.
