Abstract: Fr. Peter Van Hamme writes from aboard ship near the Philippines to Fr. Ægidius Estrix in Rome, summarizing his 1687 departure from Cadiz, travel through Veracruz, Mexico, and the Tarahumara Mission, reassignment to the China Mission, passage from Acapulco on the Santo Cristo de Burgos, brief visit to Guam on 6 June 1689, meeting with Fr. Gerardo Bouwens, and onward departure toward Manila.
