Abstract: A formal letter dated October 31, 2012 from Yang Gang, a representative of the Exhibition and Travel Group, addressed to the Concerned Citizens Group and Yap Awareness Project Group in Yap State, Federated States of Micronesia; acknowledges receipt of Governor Sebastian Anefal’s October 2012 letter indicating growing resistance to the ETG project; states that ETG leadership continues to consider the viability of the proposed tourism development; invites representatives of the two opposition groups to attend meetings to discuss concerns, provide clarification, and engage in dialogue regarding the project; proposes specific meeting dates and a venue at the Yap Pacific Dive Resort. This document represents an attempt by ETG to engage directly with organized opposition groups at a critical stage of the conflict, following increasing legislative, traditional, and public resistance.
