Abstract: This editorial note introduces an undated composite report, attributed to Fr. Francisco García and likely compiled around 1681, on what happened in the conversion and reduction of the thirteen Marianas from the martyrdom of Diego Luis de Sanvitores in 1672 to their later pacification. It explains that García drew the account from authentic papers and annual letters and later used it in preparing his printed life of Sanvitores.
