Abstract: This work examines the checks and balances within the presidential system of the Federated States of Micronesia, detailing the constitutional framework and political dynamics. The analysis includes a review of the separation of powers, the roles of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, and the implications for governance and accountability. Specific attention is given to the historical context of the political system, including references to significant legal frameworks and constitutional provisions.
