Fal’ngin ngea Yalean Tafeadaed (Concerned Citizens Group Flyer – Wa’ab Orthography, Black and White Version) (Report). Colonia, Yap: Concerned Citizens Group (Yap State). 2012.

Abstract: A community advocacy flyer produced by the Concerned Citizens Group in Yap State, Federated States of Micronesia, written in Yapese using Wa’ab orthography and distributed in black-and-white format; addresses Yapese landowners and community members regarding the proposed tourism development by the Exhibition and Travel Group (ETG), a Chinese firm led by Deng Hong; warns against long-term land lease agreements with ETG, emphasizing risks to land ownership, cultural integrity, and community control; highlights provisions in the Cooperative Investment Agreement signed by Governor Sebastian Anefal that could allow ETG to proceed without adequate oversight or approved Master Plan; advises landowners to seek independent legal counsel and avoid agreements favoring foreign investors. This document represents a localized, community-facing articulation of opposition to the ETG project, translating complex legal and political concerns into accessible language for Yapese audiences.
