Abstract: KPress Vol. 14 Iss. 09: NEWS: This issue covers celebrations of International Women’s Day in Pohnpei, highlighting activities organized by the CWC that emphasized women’s health, leadership, education, and community engagement, including keynote remarks by Chuuk State First Lady Bersita Elimo encouraging women’s participation in children’s education and civic life, followed by cultural performances and community celebration; Japan’s provision of a grant to support development of an athletic field at the College of Micronesia–FSM National Campus is reported as a contribution to sports and youth development; the completion of the 2014 survey of Pohnpei’s perennial streams is noted as an important step for environmental monitoring and resource management; the issue also commemorates the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Federated States of Micronesia; additionally, the launch of the FSM Community-based Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management and Climate Change Adaptation project in Yap is reported, including handover of community fisheries management plans developed with participating communities under a program funded by the German government and implemented with regional and international partners.
