Abstract: Attributed to Fr. Andrés de Ledesma, this long composite annual letter surveys the Mariana mission from 1668 to 1672, combining ethnographic description, miracle narratives, island-by-island evangelization, the Tinian war, the martyrdom of Fr. Luis de Medina, the 1671 Guam uprising, and the deaths of Diego Luis de Sanvitores and Pedro Calonsor. It also preserves extended remarks on Chamorro customs, belief, settlement, and social organization. This is one of the most important synthetic Jesuit reports for the early mission period in the Marianas.
