Abstract: These early missionary descriptions summarize the named islands of the Marianas, settlement patterns, ports, population estimates, baptism numbers, and selected place-name identifications for Guam and the northern islands. They also discuss Choco’s role in introducing idolatry, the location of churches, and the navigational and geographic significance of the archipelago. The document is a major source for early missionary ethnographic and geographic knowledge of the Marianas.
