Abstract: Royal decree to the Viceroy of New Spain ordering him to promote and solicit the salvage of bronze cannon from the galleon lost in the Marianas in 1638 and to report the results. The decree follows Governor Zabalburu’s earlier notice that the Governor of the Marianas had been asked to undertake the recovery.
