Abstract: This synopsis records Pedro de Espinar's recognition as Procurator General for the provinces of the Philippines and Marianas, elected in 1675 and acknowledged in Madrid in 1677 to handle mission business and seek personnel for the missions. It documents the bureaucratic channel through which Mariana mission affairs were represented before the Council of the Indies.
