"TTPI Headquarters News, Vol. 11, No. 21". Headquarters News. 11 (21). Saipan, Mariana Islands: Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. 1962-11-21. p. 2.

Abstract: This issue of TTPI Headquarters News reports severe damage from Typhoons Erma and Karen in the Lower and Upper Mortlock Islands of the Truk District, where taro beds and breadfruit and coconut trees were destroyed, leaving hundreds with only about a week’s supply of limited food, mainly coconuts and fish. It also notes uncertainty around Guam school reopenings, with no firm information available except that an Episcopal school was expected to reopen, and a further update from Headquarters in Saipan anticipated by Friday. The paper covers a judicial transition in which the Attorney General congratulated the new judges, commended the retiring Judge Ada for his service, and Judge Ada expressed confidence in his successors and offered continued advice. Judge Benevento was sworn in as the new District Judge and pledged to do his best. It concludes with The Fountain’s Thanksgiving Day specials featuring roast turkey with trimmings or glazed Virginia baked ham, each priced at $2.00.
