Abstract: This first part of Fr. Manuel de Solorzano’s 1681-1682 annual report is a confidential report to Fr. General Juan Pablo Oliva. It summarizes the arrival of five new priests from the San Telmo, their assignments within Guam and Rota, the condition of colleges and mission residences, the status of the Christian community, health and personnel concerns, the need for communications with Manila, and Solorzano’s anxieties over mission finances and the possible suppression or delay of letters.
