Abstract: KPress Vol. 13 Iss. 20: NEWS: The issue reports on a violent assault in Nanpohnmal in which a Chuukese man, identified as Dobich, was severely beaten by a group of assailants in the early morning hours after being dropped off near his home following the closure of Orchid’s, leaving him seriously injured; it also covers a courtesy visit by Peace Corps directors to President Manny Mori, a formal graduation ceremony for 28 recruits from across the FSM who entered the FSM Police Academy on June 11 and received honors in a public ceremony attended by family and supporters, and the gathering of international and FSM students in Pohnpei for Iris Ministries’ “Harvest School,” a multi-week training program hosted at Nihco Marine Park that brings together participants from numerous countries for instruction, outreach activities, and development initiatives coordinated by Iris Micronesia directors Jesse Gellatly and Tanya Gellatly.
