Abstract: This document gathers several seventeenth-century eulogies and commemorative accounts of Fr. Diego Luis de Sanvitores, including extracts attributed to Alonso Lopez and later relations circulated in Spain, Manila, and Mexico. Together they narrate his final mission, the killing of Pedro Calonsor, the murder of Sanvitores by Matapang and Hirao, and the devotional memorialization of his life and death. It is a key source for the early hagiographic construction of Sanvitores’s martyrdom in the Marianas.
