Abstract: Bustillo explains the condition and purpose of the Colleges or Residences for Boys and Girls after their buildings were burned, arguing that available royal support should clothe and assist the “living colleges” of youth attending prayers and mass until the material colleges can be rebuilt. He discusses the 5,000-peso subsidy, the role of Fr. Miguel de Aparicio, support for poor youth and married soldiers’ families, and the colleges’ importance for the Christian community in Agana.
