Abstract: KPress Vol. 17 Iss. 24: NEWS: Pohnpei marks United Nations Day with public observances highlighting international cooperation and civic engagement; the Coconut for Life (C4L) Project is launched, promoting sustainable use of coconut resources and community livelihoods; the FSM Supreme Court in Chuuk hands down sentences in the FSM’s first successful human trafficking prosecution, drawing public and prosecutorial concern over the relative leniency of penalties imposed; China donates books and cash to support the Pohnpei Public Library and its public education mission; Japan provides financial assistance to Pohnpei for agricultural development through the procurement of tractors, with state leaders expressing appreciation for continued bilateral support.
