Abstract: KPress Vol. 13 Iss. 22: NEWS: This issue highlights the U.S. Embassy–organized “American Sports in Action” 5K Fun Run/Walk in Pohnpei, which drew a turnout far larger than expected and featured broad community participation, coordination with FSM institutions, and strong public engagement around sport, health, and outreach; it also reports on a significant regional infrastructure development in which the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau signed a joint government-to-government communiqué to proceed with a Palau–FSM Submarine Cable System, following meetings involving both governments, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank, establishing a framework for a shared undersea telecommunications cable intended to substantially expand broadband capacity for Palau and Yap State and strengthen long-term regional connectivity.
