Abstract: Fr. Peter Van Hamme writes to Fr. Conrad Janning in Antwerp from a ship near the Philippines on 28 June 1689. He reports his passage from Acapulco, arrival in the Marianas on 6 June, departure on 9 June, the condition of Fr. Gerardo Bouwens and other missionaries in Guam, the recent killing of Fr. Pedro Coomans and other Fathers, and his expectation of continuing to Macau and the China Mission.
