Abstract: KPress Vol. 15 Iss. 10: NEWS: FSM Cabinet member faces trial on national criminal charges, marking a rare instance of senior executive accountability before the FSM courts; International Organization for Migration (IOM) responds to the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Maysak across Micronesia, coordinating humanitarian assistance and relief logistics; Micronesia Registration Advisors contribute donations and material support to typhoon relief efforts; public guidance issued on how individuals and organizations can assist communities affected by Super Typhoon Maysak; United Nations disaster response team arrives in the FSM to support national and state-level emergency response, assessment, and recovery planning following the typhoon; Pacific Community Office (PCO) develops a disability-inclusive disaster preparedness and response toolkit aimed at improving accessibility and equity in emergency planning; Japanese non-profit organization Pasifika Renaissance expands its work promoting Pacific Island cultural and historical heritage, with a mission to revitalize traditional cultures, empower local communities, and foster cultural exchange and friendship between Japan and Pacific Island countries; Pasifika Renaissance launches new digital outreach platforms including a YouTube channel featuring performances by College of Micronesia–FSM students during Founding Day celebrations and maintains an active social media presence to raise awareness of Pacific heritage preservation and overseas-held cultural histories; the organization outlines ongoing and planned activities in the Pacific Islands and Japan, supported through annual membership contributions and direct engagement with regional partners.
