Abstract: KPress Vol. 13 Iss. 16: NEWS: Coverage spans regional advocacy and capacity-building initiatives affecting the Federated States of Micronesia, including Healthy Pacific advocacy in Honolulu addressing social justice and Compact-related rights for Freely Associated States (FAS) citizens in the United States, discussion of cultural considerations in climate change adaptation, and climate-proofing of infrastructure in Kosrae; reporting notes FSM leadership remarks on continuing efforts to secure Compact benefits, highlights the reaffirmation of accreditation for the College of Micronesia–FSM by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, and details regional meteorological cooperation, including FSM engagement with Pacific meteorological bodies and the World Meteorological Organization to expand training, data sharing, and technical capacity in the North Pacific, with attention to disparities between northern and southern Pacific meteorological infrastructure and expertise.
