Abstract: The eulogy praises Don Antonio Ayihi/Aguiji/Ayigi, a Chamorro leader from Guam and the only Chamorro known to have held the rank of full colonel under the Spanish regime. It presents him as protector of the Mariana Mission, recounts his welcome to Sanvitores, assistance to missionaries, catechetical work, warnings during rebellions, loyalty to Spanish and Jesuit authorities, charity toward the poor, rebuilding of Agadña church after the 1693 hurricane, and funeral honors after his death on 15 April 1701.
