Abstract: Fr. Muscati’s eulogy, copied by Van Hamme, recounts the life, missionary labors, virtues, and death of Fr. Gerard Bouwens after forty years in the Marianas, including his work in Saipan, Rota, Agaña, Tinian, Aguiguan, and his final failed effort to reach the Caroline Islands.
