Abstract: KPress Vol. 17 Iss. 23: NEWS: Four individuals are charged by the FSM National Government in Chuuk with multiple felony counts related to the theft of weapons and other items from FSM National Police facilities, with charges supported by fingerprint evidence, eyewitness accounts, and confessions; separate proceedings in Chuuk result in convictions for human trafficking crimes involving the exploitation of a minor, while other defendants are found not guilty in related cases; sentencing hearings are scheduled following the trafficking convictions; the U Municipal Government continues initiatives demonstrating local leadership in the management and protection of natural resources for the benefit of residents and the environment.
