Abstract: KPress Vol. 07 Iss. 03: NEWS: Detailed investigation into the death of three‑year‑old Nikkita Higgins following a head injury; coverage of a diplomatic event at which Chinese Ambassador Liu addressed over eighty guests, stating that, thanks to joint efforts, China–FSM relations had flourished in recent years, characterized by regular exchanges of visits among leaders and parliamentarians of both countries, enhanced economic cooperation, pursuit of common development, and coordination on major international and regional issues. At the conclusion of her remarks, Ambassador Liu commended President Urusemal’s visit to China in April and expressed a firm belief in a brighter future and further advancement of mutually beneficial China–FSM relations. The issue also reports on donations to educational institutions that included computers for a library, sergers and sewing machines for a Home Economics class, a set of encyclopedias, and two washing machines for dormitories. Nett, Enipein, and Sokehs Powe Elementary Schools each received two computers, a set of reference books, and assorted sporting goods ranging from rubber balls to baseball gloves and bats, and a caption notes that Education Department officials, the PICS Student Body President, and Bill Davis of the LDS stood in front of the donations made to PIGS. Another article details agricultural training conducted by the Chinese Technical Team and Agriculture staff covering the application of compost and fertilizer, pest management, weed control, pruning, pollination, water management, drainage, genebank collection, harvesting, washing, packaging, and marketing, and notes that there was at least one outcome of the training.
