Abstract: mitochondrial genome analysis is reported for Phascolosoma sp. (Sipuncula, Phascolosomatida, Phascolosomatidea) associated with the Federated States of Micronesia. The work lists Jin-Mo Sung, Mustafa Zafer Karagozlu, and Chang-Bae Kim of the Department of Bioengineering, Sangmyung University, Seoul, Korea. Specimens of Phascolosoma sp. were collected from the seagrass area of Weno Island, Chook Lagoon, State of Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia, at coordinates 7°26′41.000″N 151°53′57.700″E in February 2015. The genus was identified morphologically, and the voucher was deposited at the Department of Life Science, Sangmyung University, under accession SMU000510. Mitochondrial DNA sequencing, analysis, and phylogeny reconstruction followed methods previously described by Karagozlu et al. 2016. The mitochondrial genome is 16,571 bp in length with GenBank accession KX814447 and contains 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 23 tRNA genes. Base composition is reported as 27.6% A, 22.4% C, 15.5% G, and 33.5% T. Two overlapping regions of 1 bp each were identified, along with 31 intergenic sequences ranging from 1 to 1116 bp in length. Gene order shows differences relative to Phascolosoma esculenta.
