Abstract: An interesting look at how stone money or stone objects & monuments where moved, particularly the movement of such objects across the seas. These are the results of a project established in 1998 "dedicated to examining the production and exchange mechanisms surrounding the Yapese quarrying of their famous stone "money" in the Rock Islands of Palau in Micronesia" p.129. Results from excavation evidence from four quarries investigated, Chelechol ra Orrak and Omis Cave (next to shoreline) and Metuker ra Bisech and Upper Orrak (located at 20m elevation inland).
