Abstract: Bustillo’s fourth letter tells Xaramillo that a longer list of requests to the King and Royal Council had been interrupted by the sloop’s departure. He describes preparing annual and historical reports for the Marianas, refers to instructions from Ambrosio Ortiz and Luis de Morales, asks that Bouwens’s points be used, and emphasizes the need for residencia review of Marianas governors because of Quiroga’s abuses, forced labor, and instability in the mission.
